Product Description Caroline, an eight-piece band where diverse talents intersect, has released their latest album! Furthermore, their first-ever performance in Japan has also been announced! Three years have passed since their shocking self-titled debut album. Caroline has released their second album, 'caroline 2', on Rough Trade Records. The band spent 18 months in the UK, conducting various songwriting sessions and recording primarily at Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate. The album was produced by band members Jasper Llewellyn, Casper Hughes, and Mike O'Malley, engineered by Sid Kemp, mixed by Jason Aigle, and mastered by Heba Cudley in New York. The album begins with sharp-sounding guitars. Later, slow, low-pitched guitars join in. Then, the drums deliver a direct yet noisy beat. The three instruments play different rhythms, but they intertwine, forming beautifully unbalanced loops. Jasper Llewellyn and Magdalena McLean sing in unison over the interplay of sounds, while the swirling sounds beneath intensify. Trombone, bass clarinet, and harmonium layer upon layer, melting into the sound one after another, and the sound is on the verge of reaching its limit. Then, as the sharp high notes of the violin threaten to sweep everything away to the far reaches of space, a massive echo of electronic noise tears everything in two. The overwhelming descent lasts for several seconds, after which the aggressive sounds of guitar and drums rise again, and the two sounds push and pull against each other in the air until they finally overlap. Two sonic worlds come together and begin to move. The opening of 'caroline 2' is aptly titled "Total euphoria," and it is exactly what it sounds like. In conjunction with this, the album track "Tell me I never knew that," featuring Caroline Polachek, an artist who has written songs for Beyonc? and Travis Scott and whose performance at Fuji Rock Festival '23 is still fresh in people's memories, has been released along with a music video. The video was filmed by Caroline Polachek, who spent her childhood in Japan, and the band themselves. The domestic CD release will include liner notes and a translation of the lyrics, and will also include two bonus tracks: "_you never really get that far_" and "Before you get home from the club bathroom."
