Suicidal Angels are a leading new generation thrash metal band from Greece. Although they are called a new generation band, they were formed in 2001, so their career already spans well over 20 years. They made their album debut in 2007 with "Eternal Domination." After accompanying their local veterans Rotting Christ on their European tour, they garnered a huge response and secured a contract with the German giant Nuclear Blast. After touring with Kreator and others, they established themselves as leading figures in the young thrash scene. Now, they are releasing a new album after a five-year hiatus. Titled "Profane Prayer," this is their eighth studio album and their return to Nuclear Blast. As expected of a Greek band, the album draws inspiration from the philosophies of Socrates and Nietzsche, but the sound is, of course, aggressive. And once again, their characteristic balance of melody is truly superb. This is a masterpiece that will appeal not only to thrash metal fans but also to fans of melodic death metal.
