Go Ahead And Die is a band formed in 2020 by Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly, etc.) and his son, Igor Amadeus Cavalera. Their debut album, released in 2021, was a work that lived up to the band's philosophy of being "a mix of death metal and thrash metal heavily influenced by early Celtic Frost and punk," and was a huge success with old-school metal fans around the world. Now, they are releasing a new album after two years. Titled "Unhealthy Mechanisms," this album is full of primitive riffs and Tom G. Warrior-esque roars, showcasing the same old-school spirit. It's a Go Ahead And Die world completely devoid of sophistication or technicality. Max has just released a re-recording of Sepultura's earliest works under the name Cavalera, but it seems his roots are indeed in this primitive old-school style.
