Content Introduction American veteran heavy metal band Fifth Angel releases their first new album in 5 years with a new singer! A magnificent work that is full of lyricism as if it has time-traveled from the 80s, this is orthodox heavy metal! Fifth Angel is an American heavy metal band. Formed in 1984. Their self-titled debut album in 1986 was released by Shrapnel Records, which was famous at the time for discovering shred guitarists. However, for Fifth Angel, their greatest weapon is their lyrical melodies, and this work led to a contract with major label Epic Records. In 1989, they released their second album, "Time Will Tell," which was their first major label release. Fifth Angel was expected to be the next big breakout artist, but they could not withstand the drastic changes in the music scene, such as the rise of grunge and the decline of heavy metal, and disbanded that same year. After a one-off reunion in 2010, they made a full comeback in 2017. Fifth Angel's third album, "The Third Secret" (2018), released by major German label Nuclear Blast after a 29-year hiatus, delighted metal fans worldwide. Now, they are releasing a new album after a five-year break. Titled "When Angels Kill," this is the band's first concept album. While the vocalist has changed since their last album, with Steven Carlson taking the helm, the essence of their lyrical heavy metal remains unchanged. Drummer Ken Mary has also been active in Flotsam and Jetsam since 2018, and the newly added guitarist, Steve Conley, is also a member of Flotsam and Jetsam. As a result, there are parts that evoke a certain Flotsam and Jetsam feel. This is hardcore, orthodox heavy metal. If you're a metal fan, you can't miss this!
