Following Lemmy's death in 2015, Mot?rhead sadly disbanded. Phil produced solo albums featuring big names like Rob Halford and Dee Snider, while also forming the Phil Campbell's All-Star Band with his three sons. In 2016, they performed many of Mot?rhead's classic songs at Wacken Open Air. That same year, they changed their name to Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and released an EP bearing the band's name. They subsequently signed with the major German label, Nuclear Blast. In 2018, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons made their album debut with "The Age of Absurdity." Their second album, "We're the Bastards," released in 2020, showcased their versatility, ranging from bluesy tracks to stoner-rock-influenced songs. Now, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons are releasing a new album after a three-year hiatus. Titled "Kings of the Asylum," this album sees them returning to a high-octane, Mot?rhead-esque style.
