Content Introduction Mexican death metal/grindcore band Brujeria releases their first new album in 7 years! The Spanish vocals are intense. Rumors suggest that members from The Haunted, Napalm Death, and others are participating. Brujeria is a Mexican death metal/grindcore band. Originally formed in 1989 by Juan Brujo (Vo), Fantasma (B, Dr, etc.), and Dino Cazares (G) of Fear Factory, who was using the alias Asesino. Their debut album, "Matando G?eros," released in 1993 by major label Roadrunner, became a big topic of conversation due to the impact of its cover art featuring a real severed head. Since then, Brujeria has moved closer to death metal and a groovier direction, repeatedly going on hiatus and making comebacks. Rumor has it that a host of prominent figures have been involved with this band, including Shane Embury (Napalm Death), Jeff Walker (Carcass), Nicholas Barker (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth), and Adrian Erlandsson (At the Gates). (Although they officially maintain the facade of being "unknown.") They also performed in Japan at LOUD PARK 17, so many people will likely remember their fun and brutal stage performance. Now, Brujeria is releasing a new album after seven years. Titled "Esto Es Brujeria," this album explodes with the Brujeria world, where it's hard to tell what's serious and what's a joke. The Spanish vocals are also incredibly powerful. The band boasts an incredibly impressive lineup: guitarist Patrik Jensen (known for his work with The Haunted and Witchery) and Anton Reisenegger of the Chilean cult band Pentagram, bassist Shane Embury, and drummer Nicholas Barker!
