Formed in 2019, they are truly a promising young band. Around the summer of 2018, bassist Tom Hewson thought, "I want to start the band I've had in my head since I was a kid. I want to create the ultimate heavy metal band with no compromises." He started putting up flyers in local music stores and bars and diligently searched for members. And that's how Tailgunner was formed. Now, Tailgunner is making their album debut. This album is titled "Guns for Hire". The fact that they brought their equipment into an old 19th-century church surrounded by a graveyard and recorded at night using only candlelight is exciting in itself. Tom describes Tailgunner's style as "heavy metal inspired by Helloween, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, King Diamond, and Judas Priest," and indeed, their sound is 100% pure metal.
