There's probably no need to explain much about Neal Schon. He is the guitarist for the hugely popular American rock band Journey, which has earned numerous platinum and gold discs. Even if you don't know the name Journey, you've almost certainly heard their famous songs such as "Any Way You Want It" and "Separate Ways." Journey Through Time is a project started by Neal Schon, along with Journey's founding member Greg Rolie (Vo, Key) and former Journey member Dean Castronovo (Dr, Vo), with the concept of "playing a setlist that covers all eras of the band." The release this time is a live CD recording of their concert held in San Francisco on February 9, 2018. The concert, featuring Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, The Dead Daisies, Destinia, etc.) on bass and John Verne on keyboards, was a benefit show aimed at providing relief to victims of the large-scale fires in the northern Bay Area that occurred in October 2017. On this day, they performed a set mainly consisting of songs from the 70s, thrilling the sold-out, packed audience. The live album, aptly titled "Journey Through Time," contains a massive 29 tracks from that day's performance, including hit songs and classics such as "Don't Stop Believin'," "Separate Ways," and "Wheels in the Sky," as well as covers of songs by Santana and Tito Puente.
