Their formation dates back to 1984. Originally called Sweet Vengeance, they changed their name to Zentrix in 1988. They made their album debut in 1989 with "Shattered Existence," but what really made them famous was the single "Ghost Busters," released the following year in 1990. Their cover of the theme song from the 1984 hit movie "Ghostbusters" had a huge impact on metal fans. After releasing three albums?'For Whose Advantage?' (1990), 'Kin' (1992), and 'Scourge' (1996)?the band disbanded in 1997. They briefly reunited in 2005-2006, and then made a full comeback around 2013. In 2019, they released their triumphant comeback album, 'Bury the Pain'. Now, Zentrix is ??releasing a new album, 'Seven Words'. Guitarist Christian Hubbard's comment, "This is a big step forward without straying from our thrash metal past," perfectly describes the album's feel. For some reason, the thrash metal movement in the UK in the 1980s seemed to gain momentum later than in Germany and other countries. It wasn't until the end of the 80s, after the massive success of 'Master of Puppets', that many bands began releasing albums. Perhaps because of this, many British thrash metal bands were heavily influenced by the Bay Area sound. Zentrix is ??one such band, and their spirit remains unchanged to this day.
