Type O Negative disbanded in 2010 following the death of frontman Peter Steele. Originally, Peter was in the controversial and extreme thrash metal band Carnivore, but he formed Type O Negative in 1990. They made their album debut in 1991 with 'Slow, Deep and Hard'. Peter stated that he was greatly inspired by Black Sabbath and The Beatles, but their music could be described as gothic metal, and they gained immense popularity in the mainstream. Type O Negative's 1993 album "Bloody Kisses" and their 1996 album "October Rust" are both iconic albums that have left their mark on rock history. In the 90s, Peter Steele also worked as a sex symbol, appearing nude in Playgirl magazine. Now, Type O Negative's seventh and final album, "Dead Again," released in 2007, is being reissued. After its release, the record company went bankrupt. Then came Peter's death, as mentioned above. Furthermore, the rehearsal studio where the songs for this album were written collapsed in Hurricane Sandy. This masterpiece, with such a tumultuous history, is seeing the light of day again 15 years after its release. Thrash metal, hardcore, gothic, doom, and even The Beatles.
