Contents: Journey releases a live album. This album captures their powerful Chicago performance in July 2021, featuring all 20 of their greatest hits performed that night, starting with the universally acclaimed "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)"! Journey is an American rock band. Their formation dates back to 1973. In their early days, they were characterized by a progressive style, but after Steve Perry (Vo) joined, they shifted to a more pop-oriented style, churning out hit after hit. Their 1981 album "Escape" reached number one on the US charts. Songs like "Don't Stop Believing" from this album, and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," the opening track from their 1983 masterpiece "Frontiers," are likely familiar even to those unfamiliar with Journey, having heard them on television or elsewhere. After Steve's departure and several breakups and reunions, they went through many twists and turns, but in 2017 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Now a firmly established force in both name and reality, they released their first new album in 11 years, "Freedom," this past July, much to the delight of both old and new fans. Now, Journey is releasing a live album. Titled "Live in Concert at Lollapalooza," this album fully captures their concert held in Chicago on July 31, 2021. The band featured a powerful lineup including Neal Schon (G), Arnel Pineda (Vo), Jonathan Cain (Key), Marco Mendoza (B), and the familiar Dean Castronovo on drums, as well as Narada Michael Walden, known for his work with the Mahavishnu Orchestra and his participation in Jeff Beck's "Wired." Beginning with the universally renowned classic "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," the concert features 20 songs, primarily from their 70s and 80s masterpieces 'Escape,' 'Frontiers,' and 'Infinity.' A must-see for Journey fans and rock lovers alike, this concert is packed with their undeniable charm.
