Content Introduction Canadian heavy metal band Anvil, familiar from the movie "Dreams Never Give Up," has released their 19th studio album. From fast songs typical of the original speed metal to heavier tracks, it's pure, high-energy Anvil! This is heavy metal! Canadian heavy metal band Anvil. With a career spanning over 40 years, they are a band with many facets. They made their album debut in 1981 with "Hard 'n' Heavy." Their subsequent albums, "Metal on Metal" (1982) and "Forged in Fire" (1983), are metal classics from the pre-thrash era and continue to captivate many fans today. Their early songs, which are said to be their own interpretations of Deep Purple's speed metal numbers such as "Hard Lovin' Man," "Speed ??King," and "Highway Star," played a role in the birth of thrash metal as the originators of speed metal. Furthermore, they never forgot to entertain their fans on stage, even using a vibraphone to play the guitar. When they came to Japan for "Super Rock '84" in November 1984, they performed alongside Whitesnake, MSG, Scorpions, and Bon Jovi, creating a huge buzz in Japan as well. In 2009, Anvil achieved their second breakthrough. Their documentary film, "Anvil! The Story of Anvil," transcended the heavy metal genre and became a massive hit. Going against the norm of typical rock documentaries, the raw honesty of this film, which boldly exposed the sad reality, captivated people all over the world. Now, they are releasing their new album, "Impact Is Iminent." This is their 19th album, and their first in two years since "Legal at Last." It goes without saying that the sound is the usual Anvil. With all tours cancelled due to the pandemic, frontman Lipps (G, Vo) expresses great confidence in this album, which was created with more care and attention than usual, saying, "Everything fits together perfectly, and it's a completely cohesive work, down to the smallest details of the rhythm and melody." From fast songs that live up to their reputation as the original speed metal band, to heavy and groovy tracks, they deliver their usual Anvil style with full adrenaline. It's hard and heavy.
