Content Introduction Udo Dirkschneider (formerly of Accept and U.D.O.), a name known to virtually every metal fan, has released a cover album under his own name! From AC/DC and Judas Priest to Queen and Tina Turner, he sings classic songs by artists who have greatly influenced him. There is probably no heavy metal fan who does not know the name Udo Dirkschneider. From the late 70s to the 90s, he left behind numerous masterpieces as the frontman of Accept. His 5th album, "Balls to the Wall," released in 1983, charted at number 74 on the US Billboard charts and was certified gold. In Japan, his next album, "Metal Heart," is also very popular, as is well known. During the late 80s and early 90s, when he was away from Accept, Udo was active as U.D.O. After leaving the band again in 1997, he has released numerous albums as U.D.O. Now, he's releasing an album under the name Udo Dirkschneider. Titled "My Way," this is a cover album. The tracks are all by artists who greatly influenced Udo in his younger days as a singer. There are choices that are typical of the Udo we imagine, such as AC/DC, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Mot?rhead, and Rainbow, but there are also classic rock artists like Uriah Heep, Arthur Brown, and Queen, as well as some rather unexpected artists like Tina Turner and Frank Sinatra, making it a truly fresh experience.
