"I panicked too. But I eventually realized there are two ways to face this situation: do nothing and just pity myself, or stay strong, set goals, and continue living and chasing my dreams. I chose the latter," says Ronnie. And so he began working on his first solo album, "One Shot." During the COVID-19 pandemic, when Pretty Maids were unable to tour, Ronnie had been accumulating a lot of ideas. He first contacted Pretty Maids' keyboardist, Chris Rainey, and together they turned those ideas into songs. Of course, Chris wasn't the only one who lent a hand to Ronnie. In addition to current and former Pretty Maids members such as Alan S?rensen and Morten Sandager, numerous renowned musicians such as Pontus Egberg (King Diamond), Kee Marcello (formerly of Europe), Oliver Hartmann (formerly of At Vance), John Berg, Anders Ringmann, Linea Wikstr?m, and Bj?rn Strid (Soilwork) volunteered to participate in Ronnie's solo album. Furthermore, the mixing and mastering were handled by none other than Jacob Hansen. The finished album, "One Shot," is a culmination of Ronnie's work. While the lyrics inevitably became personal and sentimental, the songs themselves are, as Ronnie says, "melodic rock with heavy hooks, dedicated to the fans who have supported me for 40 years," and Pretty Maids fans will find it impossible to listen to without tears.
