Content Introduction Blackmore's Night, the project of Ritchie Blackmore and Candace Night, releases a Christmas EP ahead of their new album scheduled for release in Spring 2021. Blackmore's Night is a project by the well-known Ritchie Blackmore and his wife, Candace Night. Their debut album, "Shadow of the Moon," released in 1997, was the first album to present Ritchie's inclination towards Renaissance music and folk music from around the world, which had also been glimpsed in Deep Purple and Rainbow, and attracted considerable attention from hard rock/heavy metal fans. This album was a great commercial success, charting for 17 consecutive weeks in Germany and receiving gold disc certification. Blackmore's Night had consistently released albums since then, but after 2015's "All Our Yesterdays," there had been a period of stagnation in new releases, leaving fans anxious. However, in the spring of 2021, it was finally revealed that their 11th album, "Nature's Light," their first in six years, would be released. Ahead of this new album, a Christmas EP titled "Here We Come a Caroling" was released. Blackmore's Night had previously released a Christmas album, "Winter Carols," in 2006, but this release is a completely new work with newly recorded tracks. It features covers of four traditional Christmas songs, including "Silent Night," which is familiar to Japanese people. The arrangements, full of Blackmore's Night's signature Renaissance flavor, perfectly match the idyllic Christmas atmosphere and soothe the listener's heart.
