Synopsis: A live album from Ginger, a Ukrainian progressive metalcore band featuring female vocalist Tatiana, is now available. Their powerful, tight, technical, and progressive performance is breathtaking. Tatiana's skill in quickly switching between brutal growls and superb clean vocals is simply astonishing! Ginger is a Ukrainian metal band. While the band itself was formed in 2009, 2010, when female vocalist Tatiana Shumeylyuk and guitarist Roman Ibrankarilov joined, can be considered the year Ginger truly began. Their EP, "Inhale, Do Not Breathe," released in 2012, is a technical and powerful work that could be described as progressive metalcore. This album was reissued in 2013 by Greece's Leaders Records as their de facto debut album, with added live tracks. In 2014, they released their second album, "Cloud Factory," on their own label. This caught the attention of Austrian label Napalm Records. Their third album, "King of Everything," released by Napalm, propelled Ginger's popularity to the world. Tatiana's vocal work, skillfully switching between clean and growl, was incredibly powerful, and their tour with Arch Enemy, which also featured female vocals, was a great success, causing their popularity and reputation to skyrocket. In April 2019, they came to Japan with Obscura, and their overwhelming stage presence is still fresh in people's memories. In October, they released their third album, "Macro," which also became a big hit. Now, they are releasing "Alive in Melbourne," a live album recorded during the tour accompanying "Macro." As the title suggests, this album is a full recording of the show held in Melbourne, Australia on March 5th of this year. Just a few weeks later, concerts all over the world were being canceled, so it must be said that it is incredibly fortunate that this album is being released without any problems. As those who saw their performance in Japan last year will know, Ginger's stage presence is simply powerful. Her powerful, heavy, technical, and progressive style, influenced by Godzilla, Pantera, and Lamb of God, truly shines in live performances. The energy surpasses that of the studio albums, making your heart race. Tatiana's rapid transitions between brutal growls and beautiful clean vocals are like magic. This album is a must-listen for fans, of course, but it also serves as an excellent entry point into the world of Ginger for those who are new to their music.
