Contents: Destruction, now with a twin-guitar setup for the first time in a quarter of a century, presents a live album that's even more powerful! This album features a full recording of their performance at a major outdoor festival in their home country of Germany in 2019. Destruction needs little introduction. Along with Kreator, Sodom, and Tankard, they are one of the "Big Four" of German thrash metal, having been at the forefront of the scene since the early days of thrash metal. Their 15th studio album, "Born to Perish," released last year, was a huge success. This album also features the addition of a second guitarist, marking the end of the trio setup that had been maintained since Schmier's return in 1999, which also generated considerable buzz. Now, they are releasing a live album titled "Born to Thrash." Starting with their 1987 masterpiece 'Live without Sense', followed by 'Alive Devastation' (2003) and 'The Curse of the Antichrist - Live in Agony' (2009), live albums have become something of a specialty for Destruction. This latest release is a full recording of their performance at the large German outdoor festival, Party Than Metal Open Air, on August 10, 2019. Since 'Born to Perish' was released on August 9, 2019, this performance the very next day felt like a release party. They played a total of 10 songs. The setlist was very typical of Destruction, starting with the legendary song "Curse the Gods" and ending with "Bestial Invasion." This work is also very interesting as a document of the first tour of the reborn Destruction, who have adopted a twin-guitar system for the first time in a quarter of a century. The addition of another guitarist was done in order to power up their live performances. This album brilliantly demonstrates just how successful that approach has been. Slash fans shouldn't miss this. It would also be interesting to compare it to the masterpiece 'Live without Sense', which was recorded with the four-piece lineup.
