From the early to mid-80s, she released a string of hit songs. Her 1984 album "Stay Hungry" sold over 3 million copies in the US. "We're Not Gonna Take It," included on this album, is a famous song that you've probably heard at least once, even if you don't know Twisted Sister. Although they disbanded once in 1988 due to the decline of glam metal, they reformed in 1997. In the 21st century, they released re-recorded albums and other works. However, sadly, in 2015, drummer A.J. Pero passed away. The following year, in 2016, Twisted Sister disbanded. However, Dee Snider continued her solo career. She has consistently released albums, including "We're the Ones" in 2016 and "For the Love of Metal" in 2018. Interestingly, the latter album features not only full participation from Mark Morton of Lamb of God, but also appearances by Alissa of Arch Enemy and Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust. Now, a live album by Dee Snider is being released. Titled "For the Love of Metal Live," this CD includes not only the solo album of the same name, but also many of Twisted Sister's classics such as "I Wanna Rock," "Under the Blade," and "We're Not Gonna Take It," a cover of AC/DC's classic "Highway to Hell," and a new studio recording, "Prove Me Long." In addition to these live performances, the DVD/Blu-ray also includes interviews and music videos. Not only can you fully enjoy Dee Snider's powerful vocals, but you can also hear plenty of his uniquely witty stories?a truly luxurious experience. If you're a heavy metal fan, this is a must-see.
