The recording captures the concert held on November 17, 2018, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of "Future World's" release, titled "Back To The Future World - 30th Special Maid In Japan -". The complete performance of "Future World" and the band's favorite tracks create a truly moving live experience! "Future World," Pretty Maids' second album released in 1987, remains a representative work of 80s Scandinavian metal and continues to be supported by many metal fans. Formed in Denmark in 1981 by Ken Hammer (guitar), Ronnie Atkins (vocals), and others, Pretty Maids released "Future World" following their EP "Pretty Maids" (1983) and their first full-length album "Red Hot and Heavy" (1984). This album, with its vibrant performances and melancholic vocal melodies, was a major draw and helped bring them attention in the Japanese metal scene. The band further solidified their popularity in Japan with their third album, "Jump the Gun" (1990), and their fourth album, "Sin-Decade" (1992), which included a cover of John Sykes' "Please Don't Leave Me." Throughout the 1990s, they forged a close relationship with Japan, even performing there with each album release. In 2002, Ken suffered from heart disease, which led to a period of stagnation in their activities. However, in 2012, they made their first visit to Japan in about 10 years, and since then, they have frequently played in Japan again, including an appearance at "LOUD PARK 15." Following the release of their 15th album, "Kingmaker" (2016), they returned to Japan to perform at CLUB CITTA to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of "Future World" (1987). This release captures the first day of the two-day performance on November 17, 2018. Titled "Back To The Future World - 30th Special Maid In Japan -," this Japan tour consisted of two parts: the first part was a complete performance of "Future World," and the second part was "Greatest Hits & The Band's Favorites," in which they played their representative songs and the band's favorite songs. The setlist includes the exciting title track "Future World" following the opening sound effects, the poppy "Love Games" with its bold synthesizer features, the exhilarating "Needles in the Dark," and the melancholic ballad "Eye of the Storm," all performed in the same order as on the album. The second half focuses on more recent tracks such as the heavy "Mother of All Rise" and "Kingmaker," and also includes "Syn Decade," which was performed as an encore. Ken's edgy guitar work creates a tense atmosphere, and Ronnie's emotional vocals are breathtaking, with the audience joining in with incredible enthusiasm at key moments. This is truly a moving live recording created by the band and their fans.
