Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards), the band's main composer, describes this album as an "accidental concept album." The lead track from the album, "Noise," is a number where fast-paced metal intertwines with magnificent orchestration. With numerous tracks that make even more effective use of the three vocalists?Floor, Marko, and Troy Donockley?from the Uilleann pipes in the intro of "How's the Heart" to the dance section of "Harvest" and the hymn to human imagination in "Pan," Nightwish's beloved symphonic metal, fused with new experimental elements, delivers the greatest excitement in Nightwish's history. Another noteworthy track is "All the Works of Nature Witch Adorn the World," an instrumental epic that occupies the entirety of CD2 and is themed around nature. This suite, written by Tuomas while watching documentary footage about "the Earth and nature," features a full orchestra. He describes the song as "a love letter to the Earth." Nightwish enjoys immense popularity not only in their native Finland but also in European countries such as Sweden and Germany, and has expanded into markets in North America, South America, and Asia.
