Ad Infinitum began in 2018 as a solo project by female singer Melissa Bonney. Originally from Montreux, Switzerland, Melissa joined the symphonic folk metal band EVENMORE in 2012 after playing in cover bands. While releasing one EP and one album (she left the band in 2018), she also participated in the electro groove metal band RAGE OF LIGHT in 2015, before starting Ad Infinitum, a symphonic metal project she had always wanted to do. In November 2018, Ad Infinitum released their first single, "I Am the Storm," showcasing a style that blended symphonic elements with power metal. Following this, they welcomed Adrian Zesenwitz (guitar), Jonas Asprind (bass), and Niklas M?ller (drums), completing their debut album, "Chapter I: Monarchy." Their music, which blends symphonic sounds with gothic elements, is heavy yet alluring, and their lyrical vocal melodies are easily accessible.
