Introduction: Burning Witches, the Swiss all-female five-piece metal band featuring new singer Laura, presents their 3rd album, "Dance with the Devil"! As before, it's produced by Schmier of Destruction, and is a masterpiece packed with dramatic metal tunes that pure metal fans won't want to miss! Formed in Switzerland in 2015, Burning Witches consists of Romana (guitar), formerly of ATLAS & AXIS, along with Celeina (vocals), Aria (guitar), Jay (bass), and Lara (drums). They signed with Switzerland's "Non Stop Music" record label and debuted with the album "Burning Witches" (2017), co-produced by Schmier and V.O. Pulver (Destruction, Pro Pain, etc.). This album, which draws on old-school heavy metal influences from bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden while incorporating a power metal approach, garnered attention among European metal fans, leading the band to sign with Germany's Nuclear Blast Records. With Sonia (guitar) replacing Aria, the band released their second album, Hexenhammer (2018). Featuring a range of powerful tracks from relentless speed metal to heavy mid-tempo songs and ballads, this album demonstrated the band's significant growth, and they embarked on a European tour starting in January 2019. However, Celeina left the band in May due to personal issues, so Laura (vocals) from the Dutch symphonic power metal band SHADOWRISE took part in their performance at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 7, 2019. She then became an official member, and the band began working on a new album with the new lineup, resulting in this third album, Dance with the Devil. This album, which features a good balance of uptempo tracks and heavy mid-tempo numbers, showcases the band's significant evolution, with more melodic vocals and guitar melodies than ever before. The intricate arrangements, including the elaborate guitar parts, are a highlight, and the expressive vocals of new member Laura are also a major draw. The dramatic songs boast an astonishing level of perfection, making this a truly quintessential heavy metal album.
