They debuted in 1996 with the album "Black Earth". Angela, a female death metal vocalist who joined the band for their fourth album "Wages of Sin" in 2001, garnered significant attention and led to a breakthrough for the band. In 2011, after the release of their eighth album "Chaos Legions," Michael's brother Christopher left the band. Then, in 2014, Angela left, and Canadian female vocalist Alissa joined, releasing their ninth album, "War Eternal." In 2015, Jeff, formerly of Nevermore, joined as guitarist, and with this new lineup, they performed their 16th tour of Japan in March. In 2016, they delivered a heated performance at the Wacken Festival in Germany, one of the largest metal festivals, and a live DVD and Blu-ray of that performance were released. In 2017, they released their tenth album, "Will to Power," and performed in Japan again in 2018 (solo) and 2019 (Download Japan). Then in 2022, their 11th studio album, "Deceivers," was released.
