There are various theories, but the band name "Brujeria" is said to be Spanish for black magic born in the Dark Ages. Formed in Los Angeles in 1989 with the members kept secret, they debuted in 1990 with a 7-inch EP. Although officially undisclosed, the band's members are a collection of formidable figures representing the extreme music scene. They released their debut album in 1994, and after numerous member changes behind the scenes, have released four albums to date. In 2017, they made their long-awaited first visit to Japan, participating in Loud Park 17. And now, in March 2020, their return performances have been confirmed. To coincide with this, a Japan-exclusive commemorative album will be released.
