Contents Introduction Spiritual Beggars, the hard rock band led by Arch Enemy's Michael Amott (G), presents their 8th album overall and their first in two and a half years! [Lyrics, translations, and commentary included] Spiritual Beggars was formed in '93 by Michael Amott after he left Carcass, the death metal band known as the "King of Brutalness" of Liverpool. With the desire to play a different type of music than Carcass, Michael was joined by bassist/vocalist Spice and drummer Ludwig, and they have been active in a musical style that combines '70s rock with a modern rock taste. Although he is now known as Michael of Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars was originally Michael's main band. With their fifth album, "On Fire," released in 2002, Spice, who had been with the band for many years, left. JB of Grand Magus joined on vocals, Roger Nilsson of The Quill joined on bass, and keyboardist Pell also became an official member. Later, Shirley of Arch Enemy replaced Roger on bass, and they released their sixth album, "Demons," in 2005. The accompanying Japanese tour included opening for Dio, which generated a lot of buzz. In 2010, they welcomed Apollo of Firewind as their new vocalist and released their seventh album, "Return to Zero," and performed at Loud Park 10 in October of the same year. Then, in 2013, their eighth album, "Earth Blues," was released with the same members as the previous album. Please also look forward to the activities of Spiritual Beggars, which Michael continues to work on simultaneously with Arch Enemy. [Track Listing] 1. WISE AS A SERPENT 2. TURN THE TIDE 3.
