Formed in Sweden in 1989, Dirk Tranquillity is known as the first band to establish the melodic death metal style, characterized by death metal vocals that sang with a raspy voice intertwined with melodic twin guitars. This veteran band has released eight albums and performed in Japan five times. Keyboardist Martin joined the band for their 4th album. Since then, they have presented a new direction for the band with their exquisite melodic arrangements on the keyboard, resulting in flavorful song structures and deep, medium-tempo tracks.
