Content Introduction Murphy Radio is a math rock trio based in East Borneo, Indonesia, consisting of Wendra (guitar), Aldi Yamin (bass), and Amrullah Muhammad (drums). They skillfully incorporate progressive styles and emotional sounds while maintaining catchy, easy-to-listen-to melodies. They are a promising band that is sure to gain recognition as a prominent force in Asian math rock. The band started in 2013, initially performing as an alternative rock band with a vocalist. In 2016, they became the current trio, shifting their focus to instrumental math rock. In 2017, they digitally released the single "Sports Between Trenches," simultaneously producing a promotional video. Following this, they toured Indonesia, garnering attention and positive feedback from music listeners across the country, leading to significant domestic recognition. Currently, they are becoming the new standard for bands like them in Southeast Asia and Indonesia. Then, in August 2018, they released their long-awaited first album "S/T" on the newly established Singaporean label "ATMOS Initiatif." They performed at numerous festivals, mainly in Japan and Southeast Asia. In September 2018, they received an offer from the organizers of "Envol et Macadam," a large-scale outdoor festival featuring punk and hardcore music held in Quebec, Canada, and steadily became known outside of Southeast Asia.
