Since the early 2000s, Canadian master Shawhan Reem, also known as I Am Robot and Proud (IARAP), has captivated fans of various genres and many creators, not just electronica and Western music listeners. His music is often heard on television, such as on news and information programs. IARAP's 7th album, his first in three years since "Light and Waves," is finally complete. The distinctive IARAP sound, instantly recognizable in every element?timbre, melody, groove?is, of course, still present in this work. Furthermore, as symbolized by the blend of acoustic guitar and electronics at the beginning of the album, the combination of an organic and incredibly refined texture with euphoric, bouncy phrases creates an even greater sonic massage and outstanding chill-out effect, truly living up to the album title, "Happy Static Electricity." With unnecessary sounds stripped away and space elegantly utilized, this is the highest level of sound design in IARAP's long career. Mastering was handled by Sandro Perri, who has received high praise for his solo works (and whose first performance in Japan last year was fantastic), and is a familiar face on IARAP's works. About the Artist: A project by Showhan Reem, originally from Toronto, Canada. His IARAP sound, a trinity of soft, rounded tones, pastoral and gently moving melodies, and endlessly comfortable tempos, has continued to garner many followers since the early 2000s. His third album, "the electricity in your house wants to sing" (2006), known for its penguin cover, was a huge hit in Japan, reaching number one on the Tower Records New Age chart and the iTunes Electronic Music chart. He has a deep connection with Japan, having toured several times on his own, performed at events such as TAICOCLUB, Asagiri JAM, Borofesta, and Nagisa Music Festival, and collaborated with numerous Japanese musicians.
