Contents: LORI SCACCO's first new album in 14 years, 'Desire Loop', is finally complete! Released on CD exclusively in Japan! Lori Scacco, whose 2004 release, the little-known masterpiece 'Circles' (ARTPL-058), was reissued in 2014 to commemorate its 10th anniversary and became an exceptionally long-selling album, has now completed her first new work in 14 years. Having absorbed and matured various influences over many years, her musicality retains the serene, floating feeling of 'Circles,' while blending electronics and experimental elements in exquisite balance, enveloping the listener and immersing them in a feeling akin to a journey. Lori Scacco is a female artist who previously served as the pianist/guitarist for the shoegaze/dream-pop band Seely, which released music on Too Pure. She currently performs as part of the duo Storms with Eva Puyuelo Muns, a member of Savath y Savalas, and is also a live band member for Helado Negro. Her 2004 album "Circles," released on Eastern Developments, run by Guillermo Scott Herren (aka Prefuse 73), was a cult classic that gained some popularity, but when it was reissued in 2014 to commemorate its 10th anniversary, it became an exceptionally long-selling album. This album, "Desire Loop," is her first new release in 14 years. While "Circles" was a masterpiece adorned with minimal acoustic tones and natural reverberations, this new work retains that serene sense of weightlessness and warmth, while weaving in bubbling synth layers and occasional beats, creating a gentle and sweet tone that unfolds as a grand musical tapestry traversing from minimal to ambient to drone, and even from new age to electronica. It's a masterpiece that will draw you in once you start listening.
