About the Artist: A punk band formed in Berlin in 1978, centered around Mark Eins (born 1956), who is also active as a painter and actor. Gudrun Gut (Malaria!) and Frieder Butzmann were also involved in the early stages. Their unique sound style, incorporating synthesizers, attracted attention from various quarters, and in 1980 they released "Program 1" on Klaus Schulze's then-newly established I.C. label (Innovative Communication). This work, produced by Schulze himself, revealed a new lifeline in the Berlin music scene. Since then, by 2011, they have released "Program 1" through "6," as well as two other albums. They remain active on the front lines of the Berlin music scene, and in 2018, which marks their 40th anniversary, they are working on a new album, "Program 7."
