This is the 15th installment in singer and Kumu Hula (successor of classical hula) Sandy's Aloha Therapy song collection series! A special edition including the original song "Iapana Hula"! This series is a compilation series selected by Sandy, a leading Hawaiian singer in Japan today, under the theme of "returning to your true, gentle self." In addition to its use for exercise, it has become widely popular as a compilation that allows people to easily enjoy authentic Hawaiian music. This is the 15th installment in the series, which has been released almost every fall. It starts with a number that was included in "Hula Dub" (P-Vine), released last year with Dennis Bovell as producer. Furthermore, this album includes selections from Sandy's Hawaii series (tracks 3, 4, and 6), which she has been working on as her life's work as a successor to traditional hula, as well as re-recordings of original songs (tracks 2, 5, and 7) that were previously included as bonus tracks on recent "HULA HULA" releases. It also includes a new song (track 8) created specifically for this album. This is "Iapana Hula," written and composed by Hawaiian musician Yuki Yamauchi, a long-time acquaintance of Sandy's. "Iapana" in the title of this song means Japan in Hawaiian. This hula song, originating in Japan, expresses a refined passion that sparkles within its understated elegance, and is truly a masterpiece that only Yamauchi, who is well-versed in both Japanese and Hawaiian cultures, could create. Of course, this work is linked to the Tipness program, but simply as hula music, it is very soothing and can be enjoyed by any Hawaiian music fan.
