Contents Introduction Wataru Sato, pianist and composer of the up-and-coming J-Jazz band Gecko&Tokage Parade, and a rising star in post-classical music, has completed his first new album under his electronica moniker "Gecko" in approximately 7 years! Currently releasing music through the cutting-edge music label Playwright, which has launched the careers of fox capture plan and bohemianvoodoo, Wataru Sato is a unique pianist who is also active as a rising star in post-classical minimal music. This new album under his electronica moniker "Gecko" is his first in 7 years. It's a luxurious album containing 15 tracks, combining the compositional skills, rhythmic sense, and colorful melodies cultivated in the band with the richness of tone and heavy, layered sounds honed in the post-classical scene. This album consciously incorporates the theme of "the flow of water," a theme that has been consistently explored in both his band and solo work, resulting in a fluid and more direct engagement with that theme than ever before. Furthermore, guest vocals and partial composition/lyrics by Marina Kodama, who is also active as the vocalist for Sawa Angstrom and whose solo album released in May of this year has garnered attention, add further color to the work.
