Blushing, a band representing the US alternative rock/shoegaze scene, has announced their Japan tour, along with the reissue of their sold-out debut album (2019). This album, unified by a decadent, gothic, dark, and heavy mood, is an important work that connects to the 1920s shoegaze scene where NewDad and Softcult rose to prominence, and also serves as the origin of Blushing, hinting at their unique style where pop sensibilities and alternative influences intersect in their later works. Their second album features Miki Berenyi of Piroshka/ex-Lush, and their third album features Jeff Schroeder, known as the former guitarist of Smashing Pumpkins. Both films were produced with Mark Gardner (Ride) and Elliott Fraser (Ringo Deathstarr) as engineers.
