Content Introduction: Swedish band SARCATOR releases their long-awaited new album! Their unique style, which incorporates thrash, black metal, death metal, and even punk, is one of a kind. An album that every extreme metal fan must hear! SARCATOR is an extreme metal band from Sweden. Formed in 2018, the band was founded by young members centered around guitarist/vocalist Mateo Tervonen. While their sound is based on extreme metal genres such as black metal, thrash metal, and death metal, they have pursued a unique sound that incorporates a wide range of elements including punk, classic heavy metal, and dark rock. In 2020, they released the demo "Visions of Purgatory" and their debut album "Sarcator." Since then, they have deepened their musicality with each subsequent release, such as "Alkahest" (2022) and "Swarming Angels & Flies" (2025), and have also had the opportunity to perform with bands such as Hellripper, 1349, and Midnight. SARCATOR has steadily increased their presence as a next-generation band poised to lead the Nordic metal scene, having been nominated for Swedish P3 Guld and Grammis. Their fourth studio album, "The Ones We Follow," further pushes the ferocious speed and aggression cultivated in their previous works, while pursuing a free musicality that transcends genre boundaries. They freely fuse the impulse of punk, the darkness of gothic music, the strength of classic metal, the ferocity of dark rock, and the extreme heaviness of black/death metal, elevating it into a unique style that they themselves call Death's Rock. Above all, what they value most is not "what genre it belongs to," but "what the song needs." This attitude makes their songs sharper, more dynamic, and radiate a powerful individuality. "The Ones We Follow" is not a retrospective of SARCATOR's past, but an album that completely establishes who they are now. This new masterpiece showcases their youthful impulsiveness and energy, while simultaneously demonstrating a clearer vision and songwriting prowess. A must-listen for extreme metal fans, and indeed for all listeners who love thrash, black metal, death metal, and old-school metal!
