Their style, a mix of black metal atmosphere and grindcore aggression, is intense. Exodus' Gary Holt makes a guest appearance. Philip Anselmo, the frontman of Pantera, is known to all metal fans. An underground music enthusiast, he is also well known for working on numerous side projects. From major acts like Down to Superjoint Ritual, and even primitive black metal like Christ Inversion and Viking Crown, his range is unusually wide. Scour is one of these projects by Philip. Formed in 2015, Scour has released several EPs so far. Now they are releasing their long-awaited first album, "Gold," from Nuclear Blast. Scour's style can be described as a mix of black metal atmosphere and grindcore aggression. The album is filled with short tracks, each lasting only 2-3 minutes, but their aggression is tremendous. The sheer brutality of the music leaves you feeling utterly exhausted after listening to the entire album. The backing band for Philip Anselmo is also top-notch, featuring members from Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. With such a lineup, it's no surprise that the album turned out this way. If you're a fan of black metal or grindcore, or even extreme metal in general, you can't miss this! Gary Holt of Exodus makes a guest appearance on guitar solo. Mastering was handled by the legendary Jens Bogren. - A black metal band led by Pantera vocalist Philip Anselmo. - The backing band is also top-notch, featuring members from Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. - Gary Holt of Exodus makes a guest appearance. - Mastering by the legendary Jens Bogren.
