Contents: Grammy Award-winning artist Emmanuel Harrold announces new song and album featuring Gregory Porter! Emmanuel Harrold, who digitally released his solo EP "Funk La Soul" in August 2022, has announced the release of his highly anticipated album "Wee Da People" in January 2023. Emmanuel, a Grammy Award nominee and winner, is known as Gregory Porter's drummer and has collaborated with a wide range of artists from Damon Albarn, De La Soul, Wynton Marsalis, and Robert Glasper to Stevie Wonder. Like his previous EP, this album incorporates R&B, jazz, funk, gospel, and hip hop, and features Gregory Porter as a featured vocalist on the first single, "I Think." The album also features guest appearances from Grammy Award-winning artist Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who has also appeared as an actor in the medical drama "The Resident," which is broadcast in Japan; Emmanuel's brother, jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold; and Grammy Award-winning musician Tivon Pennicott, who is also a collaborator with Gregory Porter. The title track, "We da People," is a fusion of jazz, R&B, and funk elements, using synthesizers, minimalist guitar and bass, and featuring powerful spoken word by Grammy Award-winning actor and musician Malcolm-Jamal Warner. On the other hand, in "Fight Harder," Emmanuel and the guest musicians expertly combine trumpet by his brother Keyon Harrold and soulful backing vocals by Crystal "Chrissy" Rhamsom and Charles Rhamsom II. This album can be described as a catalog of all the creativity that Emmanuel has possessed over the years, having worked with renowned artists. While the styles and genres are diverse, what's most important is the sense of connection that runs through them all. For those who have already heard Emmanuel's music, this album should be seen as a new musical adventure. And for those hearing Emmanuel for the first time, there's no better opportunity to get to know his music than now.
