Content Introduction Sondre Lerche, a national singer-songwriter from Norway and now based in LA, has completed his new album "Patience," three years after his previous album "Pleasure," which broke new ground in new wave pop. The Japanese edition includes bonus tracks and will be released on CD only in Japan. Recorded with Dave Heilman (Dr), Chris Holm (Bass), and Alexander Von Mehren (Key), who have all visited Japan and played with him on his last two albums. Produced by legendary Norwegian producer Kato Adland and Matias Tellez of Young Dreams, who has worked with almost all of Norway's up-and-coming bands. World-renowned classical violinist/composer/arranger Tim Fain, who handled the string arrangements for "Please," is participating again, and J?rgen Tr?en, who participated in the masterpiece debut album "Faces Down" and the jazz album "Duper Sessions" released under the name Sondre Lerche And The Faces Down Quartet, is collaborating with them again after a long time. The track "Put The Camera Down" features legendary artist Van Dyke Parks. After the adventurous challenges of "Please" and "Pleasure," and performing 140 live shows in a year, Sondre Lerche took what could be called his first break in his career. He stopped touring, moved his base from NY to LA, and focused solely on writing songs because he felt he needed to make comfortable music. The resulting album is inspired by ambient music and the experience of losing one's sense of time and structure while running a marathon. Created with trusted musicians and a production team that represents a return to his roots, it is truly a culmination of Sondre Lerche's work. From his early jazzy taste to classical arrangements and soft rock elements, the album is overwhelmingly beautiful and delicate, a masterpiece that makes you admire his expressiveness and melodic sense all over again. The Japanese edition exclusively includes "Slip Into Character," a track inspired by Britney Spears and the #freebritney movement, recorded with The Silver Lake Chorus at St Casimir Lithuanian Church in LA, and released only digitally and as a video before Christmas!
