The band name "ikkubaru" is a Japanese pronunciation of "Iqbal's" name. They create urban pop music influenced by 80s Japanese city pop artists such as Tatsuro Yamashita and Toshiki Kadomatsu. After their EP "Hope you smile," which covered tofubeats' "Suisei," became a hit in Japan, they released their 1st album "Amusement Park" in October 2014.
