Content Introduction: The legendary band "The Gist," who released their only album "Embrace The Herd" on Rough Trade, has garnered high praise not only from Moxham fans but also from UK indie enthusiasts and neo-acoustic fans alike. COMPILATION OF THE EGIST F, a compilation of previously unreleased tracks "Holding Pattern" and its sequel "Interio Windows," has been officially released in Japan by Hayabusa Landings! In addition to album tracks, it includes "This Is Love," the debut song released in 1980 that Moxam wrote as The Gist, as well as "Yanks" and other single-only tracks such as the last single "Fool For Valentine," which was not included on any album. There are also many noteworthy tracks among the demos, with "Stones And Sunlight #2," sung by Deborah Pritchard, who also works with Spike, being the highlight. This is a lovely funkara neo-acoustic track that surpasses even the works of Sarah Goes Shopping, a joint unit of Sarah Brown of Twa Toots and Mark Ritten of Trixie's Big Red Motorbike. "Assured Energy" and track #3, an alternate version of the aforementioned "Stones And Sunlight," both featuring Deborah on vocals, are pastel neo-acoustic tracks that evoke the image of The Marine Girls strolling through a meadow. Incidentally, she is the female vocalist of Bomb And Dagger, a band familiar to fans of obscure neo-acoustic. Furthermore, it includes rare tracks such as "Greener Grass" from the N.M.E. compilation cassette ('81), "Public Girls (demo)" with Wendy Smith on lead vocals, and the doo-wop-inspired "How To Be," among others...
