This voice deserves to be shared with the world." - This is the debut album of Seattle-based singer Nicole Yvette, highly praised and produced by Sarah Gazarek. With her wonderful gospel-rooted singing, soulful interpretations of standards (M6, 10), and emotional original songs, this album is sure to prove the birth of a new talent. Nicole Yvette began singing at her father's church in California, and during her college years in Denver, she started her career by joining a gospel group and forming a neo-soul group. In the early 2010s, she moved to Seattle to seriously study jazz and gradually became known for her work. Then, in 2023, she passed an audition for Sarah Gazarek's class at "Jazz Camp West," an annual jazz program and festival held in California, and while receiving instruction from her, Sarah praised her rare talent, leading to the recording of her debut album in no time. This album was produced in a way that would not overwrite the aesthetics of others, in order to showcase Nicole's elegant and captivating gospel-like singing style, meticulous vocal expression, overall artistic integrity, and highly accomplished original songs, which also attracted Sarah Gazarek. The arrangements were made to create a world view that envelops the songs, and the featured artists were selected to be true dialogue partners within Nicole's musical world.
