And now, their second album, "Revelation," is being released just over a year after their debut. Their creative drive is truly astonishing. The concept of this album is about what has happened to Michael, and what is happening now?in other words, his life itself. The album title, "Revelation," means "revelation," specifically "the revelation of secrets that cannot be perceived by human power by God or a transcendent being." Could there be a more fitting album title for Michael, a living god? Indeed, "Revelation" is nothing short of a divine revelation. Michael's statement, "Thanks to the amazing input from all the singers, it's become an even better work. It couldn't get any better," reveals his absolute confidence in the finished product. During the making of this album, the Michael Schenker Fest was struck by tragedy. In January of this year, drummer Ted McKenna passed away suddenly. "Revelation" is also an album that was made after overcoming such grief. Carrying on Ted's legacy are Simon Phillips and Bodo Schopf. The former played on the Michael Schenker Group's debut album, and the latter participated in "Perfect Timing" and "Save Yourself," both drummers with close ties to Michael. Simon mainly plays on this album. This time, in addition to the four vocalists, Ronnie Romero, who is active in Rainbow and DESTINIA led by Nozomu Wakai, also makes a guest appearance.
