Content Introduction Iminence, a lyrical and aesthetic quartet featuring the violin. Transcending genre boundaries, they are even more aggressive and emotional. The third canon begins, a beacon of heaviness that lights a light in a dark age. Formed in Malm?, Sweden in 2010. Their independently released album "I" (2014) and tour support for bands such as HammerFall, Amaranthe, and Suicide Silence raised their profile, leading to a contract with "Arising Empire," a modern metal sub-label of "Nuclear Blast," Europe's largest metal label. Their second album, "This Is Goodbye" (2017), marked their world debut. While Iminence attracted attention with this album, which showed a commitment to post-rock sounds rather than being solely heavy, this artistic success also plunged them into darkness. Harald Barrett (guitar) confesses, "I was searching for something, but I didn't even know what that 'something' was, and I was just struggling." It was from this struggle that "Infectious" was born. The creation of this song, whose outpouring of emotion shakes the hearts of listeners, opened the door to creativity and allowed light to shine through. That's why the new album is titled "Turn The Light On." Eddie Berg (vocals/violin) says of the album, "It was a soul-searching exploration, both musically and personally. It's the band's greatest masterpiece, finding hope in the darkness." From the lead single "Paralyzed," which flows with a torrent of emotion along with a roaring sound, to "Infectious," whose dynamic sound stirs the emotions, "Turn The Light On" is a musical work that inspires and torments our souls, with heaviness and delicate emotion clashing. With mixing and mastering handled by Henrik Wood, who has worked with Bring Me the Horizon, At the Gates, Architects, and Powerwolf, the album's dynamic sound delivers the band's greatest excitement to date. Eddie cites "inner conflict, loss of confidence, melancholy, and self-destruction" as the themes of the lyrics in this album. However, this album doesn't simply wander and lament over turbulent times; rather, it's an album that finds light in the darkness and is filled with a positive spirit that symbolizes 2019.
