Contents: Superstar death metal band Sinsaenum, featuring DragonForce's Fr?d?ric Leclerc, former Slipknot member Joey Jordison, and Mayhem's Attila Chihra, has released their second album, "Repulsion of Humanity"! Darker, more evil. The golden age of death metal in the early 90s is revived in the modern era! Sinsaenum, an extreme metal band centered around DragonForce bassist Fr?d?ric Leclerc and current Vimic/former Slipknot member Joey Jordison, originally started as Fr?d?ric's personal project. Its beginnings date back to 1998. Since DragonForce was formed in 1999, in terms of concept alone, Sinsaenum is older. DragonForce is known as a melodic power metal band, but Frederik is such an extreme metal fanatic that he openly declares, "I hardly listen to power metal in my private life." This project took off rapidly around 2013. When Joey heard Frederik's concept, he showed great interest, saying, "Then let me play drums!" and the project quickly became concrete. The other members they approached were just as gorgeous as the two of them. The vocals were handled by Attila Chih?r of Mayhem and Sean Z, formerly of Doss. The guitar was played by St?phane B?lier of Loudblast, and the bass by Haimott of Seto. A super project truly worthy of the name "all-star band" had begun. Then, in 2016, their debut album, "Echoes of the Tortured," was unveiled. A far cry from DragonForce, their old-school, authentic death metal reminiscent of the early 90s surprised and captivated many fans. With so many big names involved, coordinating schedules must have been incredibly difficult. As is often the fate of all-star bands, their activities tend to be slow-paced. However, there was absolutely no need to worry about that with Sinsaenum. The following year, 2017, they quickly released the EP "Ashes." While their debut album had a strong Morbid Angel influence, this EP incorporated black metal elements, completing Sinsaenum's unique style. Sinsaenum's activity continues unabated. Now, their second album, "Repulsion of Humanity," is being released! The members remain the same, the usual six. As Frederik emphatically states, "This album is 100% Sinsaenum. We have no intention of pleasing everyone. We have no intention of following any conventions. And of course, we don't expect it to be played on the radio. There is not a shred of commercial compromise in the artwork, lyrics, or music," and this latest work is indeed violent. The title, "Repulsion of Humanity," also reflects this determination. This album differs significantly from their previous two works. As a multinational band with members from France, America, and Hungary, Sinsaenum has basically created their works by exchanging files, but this time the members gathered in France to record. "We made 'Repulsion of Humanity' like our first album. We went to France and recorded the drums while the other members watched. Thanks to their ideas, we were able to create songs as a band. This album is amazing. The quality of our songwriting has improved dramatically," says Joey. Sinsaenum is no longer a project. They are a real band. Musically, this album can be described as the full blossoming of the Sinsaenum style perfected on their previous EP, "Ashes." While based on early 90s death metal, it incorporates plenty of black metal-esque evil and darkness. The mixing was handled by Francis Caste, who also worked on the "Ashes" EP. The sound, which is "far removed from typical death metal or recent metal albums," further enhances the album's evilness. A European tour is scheduled for September of this year, and Sinsaenum will finally make their stage debut. Attention will undoubtedly be increasingly focused on the future activities of this real death metal band, Sinsaenum.
