Their melodic metal, incorporating a modern feel, has evolved even further, and Ronnie's powerful and emotional vocals have an overwhelming presence! Includes a bonus CD featuring covers of Queen, Journey, and Anthrax! Born and raised in Chile, Ronnie Romero moved to Spain in 2008 and played in various bands. In 2014, he began working to form a new band with Tony Hernando, a skilled guitarist he met through a Ronnie James Dio tribute concert. Afterwards, Tony was joined by Andy C (drums) and Victor Duran (bass), who had played with him in the band Saratoga, and they named themselves Lords of Black. With Roland Grapow, known for his work with Helloween and Masterplan, as co-producer, they made their debut with the album "LORDS OF BLACK" (2014). After the album's release, they played several live shows and festival appearances in Spain, and the band immediately began working on their second album. Then, in May 2015, Ronnie was suddenly contacted via social media by Candace, the wife of Ritchie Blackmore. She told him that Ritchie Blackmore's team had seen a video of Ronnie singing and had selected him as a candidate to sing for Rainbow, who were planning a reunion concert in 2016, and asked if he was interested. After auditioning, he became a member of Rainbow, while Lords of Black released their second album, "Lords of Black II," in March 2016. After the album's release, Ronnie performed three shows in the UK and Germany in June 2016 as a member of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, while Lords of Black, with newly joined bassist Javi Garcia, participated in 'LOUD PARK 16' in October 2016. Subsequently, Ronnie performed a show in the UK with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow in June 2017, and with the project The Ferrymen (with Magnus Karlsson on guitar and Mike Terrana on drums), released the album 'The Ferrymen' (2017). With Dani Cleard on bass, they held a solo tour of Japan in August 2017. At this point, they said they had completed 60-70% of the recording for their 3rd album. However, Ronnie then went on to record the new album "Metal Souls" (scheduled for release on May 23, 2018) by Nozomu Wakai's DESTINIA, a project by Japanese guitarist Nozomu Wakai. Now, Lords of Black have completed their 3rd album, "Icons of the New Days." Like their previous two albums, this work was co-produced by Tony Hernando and Roland Grapow. Starting with the instrumental prelude on the first track, "World Gone Mad," and ending with the epic 11.5-minute "All I Have Left," every song is captivating with its catchy melodies and profound arrangements. With Ronnie's powerful vocals and Tony's technically brilliant guitar solos, there are plenty of highlights to enjoy, and it can be said that this is a powerful work that demonstrates the band's growth.
