The 2-disc live CD includes "Purple Fire" as a Japan-exclusive bonus track! Furthermore, the Japan-exclusive bonus CD includes two tracks making their CD debut and a new song! A bonus DVD is included, featuring documentary footage including interviews with Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie Romero! Ritchie Blackmore [g], who had been focusing on BLACKMORE'S NIGHT since 1997, returned to hard rock in 2016 after 19 years under the name RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW. The members are Ronnie Romero [vo], Jens Johansson [key], Bob Nouveau [b], and David Keith [ds]. Following their two shows in Germany and one in Birmingham, England in June 2016, Rainbow performed three more shows in the UK (London, Glasgow, and Birmingham) in 2017. This new release from Ward Records, "Memories in Rock II ~ Live in England 2017," is a 3-CD set consisting of two live CDs featuring recordings from those three UK shows, plus a Japan-exclusive bonus CD. The two-CD set compiles takes from the London, Glasgow, and Birmingham shows into a single, continuous concert. It includes tracks such as "Temple Of The King," performed only in Glasgow, and "Carry On Jon" (an instrumental track from BLACKMORE'S NIGHT dedicated to the late Jon Lord), performed only in Birmingham. The Japan-exclusive bonus CD contains three tracks: "Land Of Hope and Glory," "I Surrender," and "Waiting For A Sign," all making their CD debut. "Land of the Wind," a guitar instrumental version of "Pomp and Circumstance," known as Rainbow's opening theme, and a remake of "I Surrender" sung by Ronnie Romero, were released as singles in May 2017. "Waiting For A Sign" is a completely new song produced as Rainbow featuring Ronnie Romero. A "3-CD set + DVD" version, which includes a bonus DVD, will also be released. The bonus DVD consists of a documentary of their June 17, 2017 performance at the O2 Arena in London, UK, and interviews including Ritchie Blackmore.
