Content Introduction A heavy space psychedelic exploration of the universe! Earthless's destination is "Black Heaven"! This fourth album is an adventurous work in which Isaiah sings on 4 out of 6 tracks! Formed in San Diego, USA in 2001, Earthless has taken the world by storm with their spectacular instrumental jams at live shows, uniquely sublimating the essence of diverse musical styles, from hard rock like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin to German progressive rock like Ashura Tempel and Guru Guru, and Japanese nu-rock like Flower Travellin' Band and Blues Creation. They have gained a passionate following with their heavy riffs and spacey, floating sound, and even performed in Japan in 2015. The trio consists of Mario Rubalcaba (drums), Mike Eggington (bass), and Isaiah Mitchell (guitar), with Mario having previously toured Japan as a member of Rocket From the Crypt and OFF!. While their studio albums have featured long instrumental pieces lasting several tens of minutes, their fourth album, "Black Heaven," is an adventurous work centered around vocal tracks. Although they had previously included vocals on "Cherry Red" (a Groundhogs cover), Isaiah sings on four of the six tracks on this album. From the dynamic "Gifted by the Wind" to the groovy "End to End" and the melancholic "Sudden End," they forge ahead with both their musicianship and songwriting skills. The profound lyrics bring a new dimension to the band's music. The instrumental parts are also becoming more powerful. In the latter half of "Electric Flame," the jam session, and in the title track "Black Heaven," the three members' uncompromising playing ignites. The clashing fuzz and feedback create a musical trip. The album was recorded at Rancho de la Luna Studios near the Joshua Tree in the California desert. From this "holy land" of desert rock, where masterpieces by Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, and Fu Manchu have been created, a new legend is born. The album was produced by Dave Catching, the studio's owner and a member of Eagles of Death Metal. Earthless's new album is a "door to perception" in a new era of heavy psychedelia that will transform the listener's mind.
