Contents Introduction Introducing "East Coast Live," a live album from Delta Deep, the blues project by Phil Collen (g/vo) of Def Leppard! Phil formed the band with female singer Debbie Blackwellcook (vo) and Robert DeLeo (b) of Stone Temple Pilots! This band, characterized by its bluesy rock sound, delivered a breathtaking performance at Daryl's House Club in New York, reminiscent of Led Zeppelin with Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan! A cover of Def Leppard's "Hysteria," sung by Phil, is included as a bonus track exclusive to the Japanese edition! The first-press limited edition comes with a bonus DVD containing live footage! Phil Collen, who became a popular guitarist overnight after achieving worldwide hits with Def Leppard's "Pyromania" (1983) and "Hysteria" (1987), is featured here. While continuing to perform as a member of Def Leppard, Phil also formed Manrays in 2005 with former Girl bandmate Simon Raffey (bass) and Sex Pistols' Paul Cook (drums), playing punk, power pop, and reggae. His new band, Delta Deep, was formed after a casual jam session at his California home with Debbie Blackwell Cook, his wife Helen's mother and a singer who had provided backing vocals for artists like Michael Bubl?. The three then wrote songs and produced demos, eventually joining forces with Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots and Forrest Robinson (drums), who had played with The Crusaders, to form Delta Deep. They debuted with the album "DELTA DEEP" (2015). Their debut album, a bluesy hard rock track featuring powerful vocals influenced by Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan, garnered attention for guest appearances by David Coverdale of Whitesnake and Joe Elliott of Def Leppard. Following this, they began performing live, and this album, "East Coast Live," captures a performance at Daryl's House Club in New York. Opening with a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog," the album includes all tracks from their album "DELTA DEEP," including Deep Purple's "Mistreated," as well as unreleased tracks and a drum solo by Forrest. Some songs feature live arrangements, showcasing a diverse range of numbers from hard-hitting, upbeat tunes to slow blues and soulful numbers. Debbie's engaging performance, interspersed with engaging spoken word segments, is superb, and Phil's presence shines not only with his bluesy guitar playing but also with his powerful vocals. The Japanese edition includes a bonus track: a cover of Def Leppard's "Hysteria" sung by Phil.
