Contents Introduction Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, formed by Phil Campbell, the guitarist who supported Mot?rhead for many years, and his three sons, have released their first album, "The Age of Absordity"! From exhilarating, wild rock and roll numbers to heavy, groovy tracks, this powerful work inherits the genes of Mot?rhead! Mot?rhead, which ended its long history on December 28, 2015, with the death of Lemmy Kilmister (b, vo), saw Phil Campbell, who had been with Mot?rhead since 1984, begin his career as a semi-professional guitarist in Wales, England at the age of 13. After playing in local bands, he joined Mot?rhead after an audition. After participating in albums from "No Remorse" (1984) to "Sacrifice" (1995) with Wurzel as a twin-guitar setup, Wurzel left the band. The band, now a power trio with Lemmy, Phil, and Mikkey Dee (drums), released 10 studio albums starting with "Overnight Sensation" (1996), spending half of the band's history with this lineup, but unfortunately, they came to an end in their 40th year of activity. After ending his time with Mot?rhead, Phil embarked on creating a solo album, beginning recording with guests such as Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Chris Fehn of Slipknot, and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, while also starting the Phil Campbells All-Starr Band with his sons. The band consists of five members: Phil Campbell, his three sons Todd Campbell (guitar), Dane Campbell (drums), and Tyra Campbell (bass), and singer Neil Starr (vocals). In August 2016, they performed at "Wacken Open Air" in Germany, playing a set centered on Mot?rhead covers and receiving a huge ovation. After playing several more shows, they changed their name to Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and released the EP "PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS" in November on "Motorhead Music". From December onwards, they began including songs from this EP in their setlists at live shows, and eventually signed a contract with "Nuclear Blast" Records. They recorded at a studio in Wales, and the result is "The Age of Absordity". From the very first track, "Ringleader," this album explodes with a wild, Mot?rhead-esque rock and roll sound. It features a good balance of heavy, groovy tracks and speedy songs, carrying on Mot?rhead's legacy while also showcasing their own unique style. The exhilarating tracks, in particular, are unmistakably Mot?rhead, making this an album that Mot?rhead fans will surely enjoy.
