The album showcases the band's signature blend of hard rock and pop, evident in tracks like "Running Out of Time," which wraps a singable melody in a big beat; "Say What You Want," which heats up with an intro reminiscent of the classic "Rock in America"; and "Day and Night," which premiered at their 35th-anniversary live show. "Don't Let Up," incorporating place names from their California hometown, is a strong contender for a single hit. From the acoustically enhanced, poppy "We Can Work It Out" to the loosely grooved slide guitar-featured "(Won't Be Your) Fool Again," "Don't Let Up" contains everything we love about Night Ranger. This album marks the first time Brad Gillis and newcomer Keri Kelly (formerly of Vince Neil, Ratt, Warrant, and L.A. Guns) have collaborated on a studio album.
