Contents: Brother Fire Tribe, the melodic hard rock band featuring Nightwish guitarist Emp Vuorinen, has released their 4th album, "Sunbound," after a 3-year hiatus! With its dynamic sound and melancholic vocal melodies characteristic of Scandinavia, this is a superb album filled with great songs that will nourish the listener's heart! Brother Fire Tribe was formed in Finland in 2001. At its core were Pekka Ansio Heino (vocals) and Tompa Niklainen (keyboards), who had previously been active in the band CASHMIR, and the band began when the two started writing songs together after the band broke up. Encouraged by the success of the song titled "One Single Breath" (included on their debut album), the two decided to form a new band. They were joined by Jason Franklin (bass), a former military comrade of Pekka's who was also acquainted with Tompa, and Empu Vuorinen (guitar) and Kalle Torniainen (drums) of Nightwish, with whom Jason and Tompa had previously worked. The lineup was now complete. After each member continued to write songs in between their other activities, they signed with Spinefarm Records, the label Nightwish belonged to, and made their debut in 2006 with the album "Lake Out." Their 80s-flavored melodic hard rock, heavily featuring synthesizers, attracted considerable attention, and the album became a hit, reaching number 22 on the Finnish charts. The band then released their more gorgeous second album, "Heartful of Fire" (2008), which reached number 6 on the Finnish charts. Their 2010 album "LIVE AT APOLLO," recorded during a live performance in their native Finland in 2009, was well-received, and the band gained recognition as a live act. Subsequently, Brother Fire Tribe went on hiatus as Emp prioritized other projects?Nightwish, Pekka with Leverage, and Jason with Kings of Modesty?but in 2014, they released their third album, "Diamond in the Firepit," after a hiatus of about six years. Like their previous two albums, this high-quality work reached number 7 on the charts in their home country, impressing melodic hard rock fans. Their latest album, "Sunbound," was completed after a hiatus of about three years. Produced with the same members, "Sunbound" continues their 80s mainstream melodic hard rock sound, while skillfully mixing pop sensibilities and lyricism, with some tracks incorporating a lively mood. From AOR-esque numbers to hard rock tracks, the sound arrangements show a clear evolution, making this a truly impressive album that melodic hard rock fans have been waiting for.
